SEVENTY-FOUR ATTEND PLUMB REUNION

August 10, 1939
HELD AT HENDERSON SUNDAY; TO MAKE ANNUAL AFFAIR

A group of relatives, numbering 74, enjoyed a basket dinner at the Earl Allensworth home in Henderson Sunday honoring Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Plumb of Ft. Morgan, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Plumb were residents of Henderson some years ago at which time Mr. Plumb was proprietor of the livery barn.

Others present included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plumb of Glenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Will Van Orsdel of Malvern, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Plumb and children and Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Smith of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Collier and children of Farragut, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Koehler, Mr. and Mrs. Val Plumb, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Plumb and daughter of Macedonia, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Allensworth and family of Emerson, Mrs. Hettie Allensworth and son True, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Smith and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Plumb, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Plumb and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Otla Allensworth and children of the Wesley Chapel neighborhood, Mrs. Macie Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Carter and children, Robert Buffington of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lidgett and sons of Treynor, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Allensworth and son of Silver City and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Allensworth and family of Henderson.

The afternoon was spent in visiting and reminiscences by the older members of the group. Other visitors in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Parker of Henderson and Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Plumb of Malvern. It was decided to make the picnic an annual affair and Wilbur Plumb was selected chairman and Mrs. Earl Allensworth secretary.


PLUMB DESCENDANTS IN ANNUAL REUNION

September 13, 1945

The sixth annual reunion of the descendants of Valentine and Lucinda Plumb was held Sunday at the home of Ezra Plumb north of Hastings. There were 42 present to enjoy the lovely dinner and visiting.

The old officers were re-elected and it was voted to hold the 1946 reunion the first Sunday in September at the Otis Allensworth home.

Present besides the host and hostess were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Plumb, Mrs. Betty Edmundson, Mrs. Hattie Allensworth, True Allensworth, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Smith and son, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Allensworth, Miss Iva Allensworth, all of Wesley Chapel vicinity; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Allensworth and sons and Mrs. Zula Allensworth, Malvern; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Plumb and Jean of Hastings; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Plumb and Barbara, Wales; Mrs. Dorothy Knoke, Janet and Rodney, Mr. and Mrs. Val Plumb, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Plumb and Mary, Macedonia; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Allensworth and sons, Pvt. and Mrs. Chas. Raney and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allensworth, Henderson.


PLUMB FAMILY REUNION SUNDAY

The descendants of Valentine and Lucinda Plumb, numbering 60, met at the Otis Allensworth home north of Hastings Sunday for their seventh annual reunion. The basket dinner was served on the lawn. The afternoon was spent visiting. The old officers were re-elected for another year. The first Sunday in September was the date set for the 1947 gathering which will be held in the park in Macedonia. Mrs. Everett Plumb and Mrs. Ray Plumb were appointed historians.

Present besides the host and hostess and their daughter, Ina Allensworth were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Collier and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mott and son, Mrs. Lowell Schaefer and sons, all of Mt. Ayr; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Allensworth and sons, Mrs. Zula Allensworth and Kenneth Allensworth of Malvern; Mr. and Mrs. Val Plumb, Mrs. Dorothy Knoke and children, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Plumb and daughter of Macedonia; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Peterson and children and Carolyn Fabricious of Carroll; Mrs. Hettie Allensworth, True Allensworth, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Plumb and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ez Plumb, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Plumb and Mrs. Betty Edmondson, Hastings; Leslie Allensworth, Omaha; and the Howard, Arthur and Earl Allensworth families, Henderson.
