OSBORN REUNION SUNDAY AT GLENWOOD LAKE PARK

The descendants of Evangeline Osborn enjoyed a basket dinner Sunday at the Glenwood Lake Park. Those attending were:

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Walker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Powles and son, Lentz, all of Malvern, Mr. and Mrs. Ersell Powles and son, Benny, of Mineola, Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Osborn, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eckley of Underwood; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. McClure, Mrs. Julia Buckingham of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Margaret Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kemp and family, John Kemp and Billy Jones all of Glenwood.

The Osborne family met Sunday, August 29 at the Glenwood Lake Park, for their annual reunion, with forty-three present.

Mr. and Mrs. William Walker were guests of honor August 31 being their Golden Wedding anniversary, they were married on August 31, 1893 at Sidney, Iowa, both were living at Bartlett at the time of their marriage.

Mrs. Walker was the youngest daughter of Lyman and Angeline Osborne, Mr. Walker was an only son of Samuel and Charlott Walker.

The celebrants gave a detailed account of their wedding day, fifty years ago, which was interesting and entertaining. They were engaged in farming in Mills county, until about ten years ago when they retired and moved to Malvern.

Mr. Walker is 79 years old and Mrs. Walker 69, they have three sons, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. The sons are Vern of Malvern, Sam of Council Bluffs, and Joe of Yakama, Wash. Their sons and families presented them with a gift of fifty dollars. Other gifts were a lace table cover.

Those attending this reunion and anniversary celebration were Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Osborne, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kemp and family, Glenn, Virginia, Junior, Charles and Johnny; John Kemp; Mr. and Mrs. Will Powles; Mr. and Mrs. Luff Powles; Mrs. Margaret Wilson; Mrs. Maggie Wertz; Mrs. Warren Gaylord and son Gordon of Glenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Lentz Powles of Emerson; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eckley of Underwood; Mr. and Mrs. Ed McClure and daughter, Mary Jane; James McPherron; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Walker; Billy Walker; Mrs. James Lark; and Dorothy Kemp of Council Bluffs.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kemp and family, Bob, Donny and Linda of Pacific Junction; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker and daughter Donna Lee of Yakama, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Walker of Malvern; and the bride and groom of fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. William Walker of Malvern.
