ATTENDED NILES FAMILY REUNION AT PISGAH

The 1938 family reunion of the descendants of Joe Niles will be held the 3rd Sunday in August here in Glenwood. This year’s reunion was held on Sunday, August 15 at Pisgah,Iowa, where some 84 members of the family from ten different counties in Iowa and Nebraska gathered for a picnic dinner. Election of officers was held with O.V. Byers of Glenwood being elected as president, Mrs. T.W. Booth, also of Glenwood, vice president, and Geneva Byers, secretary and treasurer.
Those attending from Glenwood were Mr. and Mrs. O.V. Byers, Geneva,Virginia, Roy and Orthello and Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Booth.

The descendants of Joe E. Niles met Sunday at the Glenwood Park for their fourth annual reunion. Some 70 members of the family and a few invited guests were present and spent a very enjoyable day with a bountiful dinner served at the noon hour.
Officers elected for the coming year were W.O. Niles of Mondamin, president: Mrs. Frank Maule of Mondamin, vice-president, and Mrs. R.T. Caley of Pisgah, secretary and treasurer.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Rex Stucker and family of Sioux Falls, So. Dak. Louis Michael and family of Pisgah; Noah Wilson and family of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bare and son of Pisgah; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beaver of Walthill, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Niles and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Donn and family of Pisgah; Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Kay of Mondamin; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Niles of Pisgah; DeLoma Reischach, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Byers and son, Darrel Roger of Omaha; Donald and Clarence Maule and Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Niles and Howard of Mondamin, Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Caley and family of Pisgah; Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Ferrell and Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Maule of Logan; Fred Maule, Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Maule, James M. The next reunion will be held in 1939 on the third Sunday in August at Mondamin, Iowa.
