States of North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa Represented at Fifth Annual Lemon Family Reunion Here Sunday

One hundred and ten persons representing the States of North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa were present at the fifth annual Lemon family reunion held at the Glenwood Lake park here last Sunday. A sumptuous fried chicken dinner was enjoyed in the dining pavilion at noon. At the business session which followed Mrs. Alta Hathaway of this city was elected president for the year and Mrs. S.E. Chambers, secretary and treasurer. The sixth annual reunion will be held here next year on August 19.

The oldest member of the family who was present was Silas Day of Eastern Iowa who was 77 and the youngest member of the family present was Betty Jo Retelsdorf, 7-month old daughter of Marjorie Chambers Retelsdorf of Council Bluffs. The afternoon hours were pleasantly spent in conversation by members of this family who separated by miles and some of whom had not met in years, enjoyed greatly the privilege of thus again mingling with their kin-folk and talking over days gone by while younger members found relief from the heat of the afternoon in the cool and refreshing water of the swimming pool.
