HURST FAMILY REUNION

The annual reunion of the Dan Hurst family was held at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Harry Knight. At noon a bountiful dinner was served. Those present from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Boyer and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Boyer and daughter all of Glenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Boyer and children of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Burl Harold and children of Hastings; Mr. and Mrs. John Harney of Macedonia, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eckley and son, all of Red Oak; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Swanson and family of Griswold; Mr. and Mrs. Doid Hurst of Grant City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Norris Riley and son of Grant City, Mo.; Gertrude Knight and Hal B. Wyland of Harlan and Mr. and Mrs. Will Baffon and family of Red Oak.


HURST FAMILY HOLD ANNUAL REUNION SUNDAY

The 10th Hurst family annual reunion was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hurst on So. Hazel street. The dinner was served cafeteria style, after which the afternoon was spent with visiting, and music. Two kittenball teams were organized and a kittenball game was greatly enjoyed by those present.

Members of the family attending were Mr. and Mrs. Norris Riley and sons, Clifford and Forest, of Gentry, Mo.; Dave Hurst, of Grant City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Don Boyer and Patty Lee of Corning; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eckley and son Homer of Red Oak; Miss Ola Everest of Murdock, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Boyer and son Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Boyer, Miss Dorothy Eaken, all of Co. Bluffs.

Mr. and Mrs. Burl Harold and family, of Henderson; Mrs. Harry Knight, daughter Helen Elizabeth, Mrs. Wayne Cole, son Donald, Emerson; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wheeler, of Malvern; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lincoln, of Pacific Junction; Mr. and Mrs. James Newman and son Jimmie, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Members of Hurst Family Met in Annual Reunion in Park at Pacific Junction for Picnic Dinner On Sunday

The Hurst family annual reunion was held Sunday, July 28, at the Pacific Junction park, there being 49 present.

A bountiful picnic dinner with fried chicken and all the trimmings was served cafeteria style. The afternoon was pleasantly spent visiting. All the children were present except one daughter, Mrs. W.E. Buffon of Stennett, Iowa, who was unable to attend.

Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eckley and Homer, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hurst and sons, Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Boyer, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Boyer, Mrs. Don Boyer and Patty Lee and Donna Mae, Mr. and Mrs. James Newman and Jimmie Jr., of Glenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Boyer and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Boyer and son, of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hurst and Mrs. A.W. Swanson of Red Oak; Carmen Embree of Tablerock, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wheeler of Malvern.

ANNUAL HURST REUNION HELD IN EMERSON

September 10, 1936

The annual Hurst family reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 6, at the city park in Emerson, 65 persons being present, the happy feature of the gathering being that all of the children of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hurst were able to be present, which, due to illness or some other obstacle, has not been possible for several years.

A delicious co-operative dinner was served cafeteria style at noon. The remainder of the day was spent in a social good time. Pictures of the family group were taken.

Swanson, Erma Jean, Eileen, Loretta and Wayne, Herman Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Penry and twin daughters, Shirley and Nancy, and Miss Evelyn Hilding, all of Red Oak; Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Boyer and son Richard, Mrs. Don Boyer, Patty Lee and Donna Mae, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Boyer and sons Lester Jr., and Dickey, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Wyland and son Donald, all of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. Norest Riley and son Forest, of Gentry, Mo.; D.H. HURST FAMILY REUNION HELD AT PARK SUNDAY

August 23, 1945

Fifty-three descendants of the late Daniel and Olive Hurst met in reunion at the Glenwood Lake Park Sunday, August 19th. A bountiful picnic dinner was enjoyed at noon. The afternoon was spent with music and visiting, while the youngsters greatly enjoyed the slide and swings. Because of travel conditions and distance some were unable to attend but those that were able to be present voted the Glenwood Lake Park an ideal spot for the occasion.

Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hurst and Elsie Renry of Red Oak; Mrs. Edith Buffon, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Buffon and children of Stennett, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Burl Harold and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Harold and family; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harold; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eckley, all of Emerson; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wheeler and son of Malvern; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lincoln and family of Pacific Junction; Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Hurst and sons, Mrs. Carl Hurst; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Boyer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eckley, Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Boyer and Donna Mae, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Newman and sons and a friend of the family, Miss Libby McCoy, all of Glenwood.
