HOUGH FAMILY REUNION

The Hough family reunion was held Sunday August 12th at Glenwood Lake Park with 69 in attendance. The three surviving members of the George and Luella Hough family were present. Namely, Goldie Neilsen, and Roy Hough of Council Bluffs and Lynn Hough of Glenwood. Others came from Neola, McClelland, Council Bluffs, Oakland, Essex, Whiting and Lamoni in Iowa and others from Omaha and Spencer, Nebraska. Merle Hough of Sparks, Nev. came with the longest distance. The genealogy of the Hough family is most interesting as it has been traced back as far as possible--into the year 1400--with the first Hough coming to America from England in 1640.
