A MERRY GATHERING AT HATCHER HOME SUNDAY

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hatcher in the west part of town, was the scene of a merry gathering on Sunday, September 7, when Grandma Chambers with her five sons and families and other relatives numbering about fifty in all gathered with well filled baskets to spend the day in this newly established home.
At the noon hour a sumptuous dinner was served cafeteria style after which a beautiful scarf was presented Grandmother Chambers by her grandchildren. A merry afternoon was spent with music, taking pictures and reminiscences of olden days. As the golden sun began to set, they all departed to the various homes declaring their host and hostess to be royal entertainers. Memory of this day will long live in the minds of those present.

Houck of Sidney, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Martin and daughter, Genevieve, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marley, Mrs. G.W. Birdsong and Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Wolfe, all of Glenwood. Also the Misses Leota Chambers of California, Mo., Opal Chambers of Omaha, Hazel Chambers, Velma Chambers, Lucile Utterback, Gertrude Birdsong and Beulah Wolfe all of Glenwood and Messrs.
