FOXWORTHY'S ENJOY PLEASANT REUNION
Malvern Leader
August 26, 1937
A pleasant reunion was enjoyed here last week when George W. Foxworthy and sisters, Mrs Arpy Sloncker of Malvern and Mrs. Betty Parker of Macedonia,
were paid a visit by their youngest sister, Mrs. Florence Seitz, of Portland, Ore.
Mrs. Seitz had not been in Malvern since 1910 and stopped here en-route to New Jersey where she will visit another sister, Mrs J.A. Grant.
No formal entertainment was indulged in by the Foxworthys but all enjoyed visiting and recalling old times. As they were members of a pioneer family they had many interesting things to remember.
The combined ages of the four totaled nearly 350 years.
They are children of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foxworthy who came to this county in the early fall of 1854--15 years before the town of Malvern was established. Mr. Foxworthy settled on a half section of
land which now includes the farming community of Peaceville.
The Foxworthys have been closely associated with the life and development of this community and enjoy a wide acquaintance over the county.
