Glenwood Opinion Tribune
September 19, 1927
The 1920 class of Emerson High school held its first reunion Sunday, nine of the ten members of the class meeting at Elmwood park in Omaha for a picnic dinner which was replete
with everything good from fried chicken to ice cream. The honor guests of the day were Professor and Mrs. E.E. Coe of Council Bluffs. Mr. Coe having been superintendent during
the entire four years that these young people were in high school.
Those present were Eva Matthews of Omaha; Fern Wolfe, LaVerne Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Butler of Red Oak; Mr. and Mrs. John Confer and daughter Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Confer and
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Greenwood and Horace Jr., of Emerson; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harmon of Hastings and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Powers of Glenwood. The only thing to mar the completeness
of the affair was absence of Emil Ramey of Ida Grove, the one member of the class unable to be present.
