DOUGLAS FAMILIES ENJOY PICNIC; PLAN MEETING FOR NEXT YEAR
HOLD REUNION AT PORTERS LAKE SUNDAY

The Douglas family reunion was held Sunday, Aug. 16, at Porter's lake near Shenandoah. Following the picnic dinner for which each brought
well filled baskets a business meeting was held.
An interesting article, "Our Family History" was read by Mrs. Ora Douglas.
Officers were elected to make arrangements for the reunion next year which will be held the third Sunday in August. These included; Charles Vestal, vice president; Ora Douglas,
secretary and treasurer; Mrs. Ora Douglas, historian.
Attending the reunion were; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Smith, Dwayne and Dale; Mr. and Mrs. Seth Bellwood, Raymond, Betty Jane, and Seth, Jr.; Miss Geraldine Dunlap of Glenwood;
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith, Lucille, Leonard, Maurice, Marylin and Glen of Essex; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vestal and Betty Alice of Hastings; Miss Clara Marie Douglas of Elliott;
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vestal; Mr. and Mrs. George Douglas; Mr. and Mrs. Harvie Douglas, James and June; Mr. and Mrs. Ora Douglas and Doris; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Douglas, Marlin,
Donna Rae and Sharron; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Douglas, Jean, Marjorie, Joan and William Jr.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dunlap, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Hevern, Donald and Darlene, and Mrs. Phoebe Smith of Emerson.
Guests included Miss Barbara Smith and Wayne Spicer of Emerson.
DOUGLAS FAMILY REUNION HELD IN RED OAK SUNDAY
September 5, 1946
The annual Douglas family reunion was held Sunday at Chautauqua park in Red Oak. A beautiful fall day and well-filled baskets helped to make the occasion a success.
Following dinner the business meeting was called to order by the vice president, Paul Vestal. Officers elected for next year; Harvie Douglas, president; Paul Vestal,
vice president; Peggy Douglas, secretary and treasurer.
It was voted that the reunion be held the second Sunday in September next year at the same park.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. George Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crouse, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Hevern and Darlene, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson, Eugene, Wayne and Junior,
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vestal, Betty Alice and Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Douglas, Jean, Marjorie, Joan, Billie and George, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Douglas, Marlin, Donna Rae, Sharon and Roger.
The group enjoyed having Miss Helen Lake as a guest.
