CRISWELL FAMILY

FAMILY REUNION AT HOME PLACE
Mrs. J.S. Criswell and Children Enjoy Reunion on Old Homestead Near Strahan
Mills County Tribune
November 11, 1918

They met at the old home place on last Sunday, November 3, and renewed their association in happy communion upon the ground where their youthful days were spent.

We refer to the reunion of the Criswell family, well known in Deer Creek and the southeast part of the county. Mother Criswell on this occasion found herself mingling with all her children and grandchildren except her son Charles, who was absent on his business run.

While Mother Criswell now makes her home in Malvern she knew that the old home had tender associations that would add to the pleasure of the occasion. The home place is now occupied by her children, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Steele.

It was a day that will be recalled and held in memory for years to come. Those present on this happy occasion were Mother J.S. Criswell, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Bellwood and children Albert and Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Strohl, Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Criswell and son Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. G.S. Eacrett and daughter Bessie, all of Malvern; Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Criswell and son Paul, of Glenwood; Mrs. Charles Criswell and children Jack and Jean, Omaha; H.W. Carder, Red Oak; Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Steele, of the home place, where the reunion was held. Miss Ona Bentley and niece, Miss Donner, of Malvern, were present, though not of the family.
