CLASS OF 1926 HOLD THEIR FIRST REUNION
Glenwood Opinion
January 6, 1926
The parlors of the Methodist church was the scene of a jolly gathering on Thursday evening of last week, when 32 of the 43 members of the class of 1926 of Glenwood High Sschool met in their first reunion.
The rooms were prettily decorated in their class colors of Red and White and a fire in the commodious fire place burned cheerfully. Amid these pleasant surroundings the contact of school days
which were broken last spring was once again renewed, and a jolly evening was spent in recounting school time experiences and with games. Marshmallows and wieners were toasted which, with fruit salad, pickles
and cocoa, constituted a lunch which was acclaimed delicious.
Ruth Kier read letters from Mildred Bennet Staley, who is now in Los Angeles, and Velma Osborn who is also in the sunny coast state of the Pacific. Glen Boyer sent greetings from the Florida coast,
Kermit Kates, medical student at Iowa City, and Lillian Harter, who teaches at Logan, and Clara Smith Frye, of Russeville, Missouri, likewise sent greetings. The members of the class present on this occasion
so enjoyed the event that they voted to make it an annual affair.
