Haynie-Chrisweiser Families Held First Gathering at Garfield Park in Plattsmouth; Meet in Tabor Next Year.

About 136 members of the Haynie and Chrisweiser families gathered at Garfield park in Plattsmouth, Nebr. Sunday, Sept. 12 for their first reunion. Sunday being a delightful day members of this family came from far and near with well filled baskets and all enjoyed a bountiful dinner at the noon hour. After dinner they all gathered in the bandstand where it was voted to organize and make this an annual affair. It was decided to meet the second Sunday in September next year at the park in Tabor.

Officers elected were: Park Chrisweiser, president; Mrs. Emil Steinhaus, vice president; Mrs. Will Powles, secretary; program committee, Miss Ella Haynie and Mrs. Thomas Nixon.

The oldest member present was Mrs. Mary Haynie DePew of Missouri Valley, who is 92 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Chrisweiser and sons, Charles, Richard and Robert of Bennett, Colo., came the longest distance, over 550 miles.

Porter and Jessie Porter, Marvernice Hune, Mae Favors of Plattsmouth; Dick Chrisweiser of Nehawka, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Johanson and Yvonne, Louisville, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. John Alley and family of Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Haynie of Northboro, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Steinhaus and Alma of Ashland, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. George Haynie of Tabor; Mr. and Mrs. R.K. Larsen, Arlene and Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Staten, Irene Simmons, Rosa Towers, Miss Ella Haynie, Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Haynie, Dr. O'Connor, and sister, Miss O'Conner of Omaha; E.C.
