Unknown Mills County Photos
(donated by Linda Hudson)

These photos, taken early 1900s, were donated by Linda Hudson Von Axelson. Given to Linda by her grandmother, Edith Hand. Edith grew up in Florida, until her mother died. She was then sent back to Iowa, to live with her two maiden aunts. Many of the photos were taken at studios in Malvern, Iowa. The studios were "Stich" and "Dearborn".
Some photos were taken in Chicago, but Linda believes they show relatives from Mills County. The family names are Hand and Stout.

W.A. Gray and Sarah Stout's daughter, Bertha married Peter Lewis Hand. Peter and Bertha Hand's daughter, Edith, was Linda's grandmother. The photos came from Edith Hand's album. Edith said they were from her family.

If you have any information about the people in these photos, please contact Linda Hudson; .
