Strahan Community News

Mrs. Henry Nims is spending a few days in Indianola with Mrs. C.B. Guest, who formerly lived here.

Bud Bradley from Glenwood spent Sunday in the Mrs. W. H. Angus home.

Carl Fortney has retired as janitor of the Strahan school before going home to Missouri.

Miss Colleen Yeisley is spending a few days visiting in Nebraska City.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gipe enjoyed a visit from their daughter Marjorie of Bellevue.

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Grindle, Mr. and Mrs. Guy D. Grindle and daughter Ramona Ann and Curt spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grindle at Grand River. They took Martha Jane Grindle home after spending the week with her grandparents.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hodaval of Bellevue had dinner with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gipe.Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Gipe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gipe, Mr. and Mrs. Zeno Bass and Mrs. C. H. Amick.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Roberts of Clarinda visited with Mr. and Mrs. Hodaval.

W.S.C.S. to elect officers: Mrs. R.H. Kier , Mrs. Kermit Hillyer and Mrs. Carl Erickson will be hostesses at the meeting Wednesday at the church.
