INDIAN CREEK PLANS "HARVEST DAYS" ACTIVITIES SEPTEMBER 10-11

 

The Indian Creek Historical Society and Museum will be holding their annual "Harvest Days" Sept. 10 and 11, 2005.  Gates will be open at 10 a.m. both days.

An antique tractor pull will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1 pm.  Both days will feather threshing, corn shelling, straw baling, and antique tractor parade and other activities of yesteryear.  The museum itself including antique tractors and equipment as well as the restored Oaks School House will be open both days.

Indian Creek Museum is located 1/4 miles south of Highway 34 at 360th street, rural Hastings.  No admission will be charged and anyone wishing to bring an antique car, truck or tractor for display is welcome to do so.  Food will be available for purchase on both days.

Saturday, September 10

10:00 a.m.--Museum and Oaks one room school house open

1:00 p.m.--Antique tractor pull

2:00 p.m. Threshing

3:00 p.m. Straw baling

4:00 p.m.--Cider Press

Sunday, September 11

10:00 a.m.--Museum and Oaks one room school house open

10:15 a.m.--corn picking

11:00 a.m. Corn Shelling

Noon--Combine Soybeans

1:00 p.m. Potato digging

2:00 p.m. Threshing

3:00 p.m. Bailing/Shelling

4:00 p.m. Pioneer plot tour

5:00 Richards and Sons Agri Supply Meal

6:00 p.m. Antique Equipment parade
