Men Off to Wars

Still more Mills County young men will be inducted into the army June 8 when some 20 will be sent to the induction center. Three more have already enlisted and another, Martin Ellis Cole, has been transferred to Dresden, S.D., for induction.

The county local board urges as many people as can to come to Glenwood June 2 to give the boys a patriotic send off. The boys will report at 6:40 a.m. and their bus will leave at 7. There will be music by the fife and drums corps and many will want to be there to give encouragement to the boys.

Those who had previously enlisted are Harry Osmond Hodder; Amos Henry Blackledge, San Fernando, Cal.; Frederick W. Stidd, Emerson.

The next men who will be inducted next Tuesday:

Malvern:
Ralph Eugene Wederquist, Paul David Swoboda, Louis Frank Watkins, Wayne Leverne Paxson.

Emerson:
Milton Frank Weber, Eulis Grant Lewis, Dale Dougherty.

Hastings:
Carl Woodrow Scott.

Glenwood:
Frank Ashcroft Broadfield, Hershel Dean Caps, Julius Siref.

Silver City:
Clarence Ward Burgoin.

Tabor:
William Leland Young.

Pacific Junction:
Frank Leon Adams, William Frederick McClure.

Imogene:
William Martin Maher.

Council Bluffs:
Ellis Reed Graves.

Mondamin:
Jesse Earl Beasley.

Princess Ann, Md:
Vernon H. Haven.

Red Oak:
William Clarence Gustin.
