Military Discharge


William H. Webster


To all whom it may concern

Know ye that William H. Webster a private of Captain H.B. Caslin's Battery Company D 1st Regiment of Miele Lt. Artillery Volunteers who was enrolled on the 5th day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixty one to serve three years or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this 17th day of September 1864 at Nashville, Tennessee by reason of expiration of service.

(No objection to his being re-enlisted is know to exist*).

Said William H. Webster was born in Genessee in the State of New York, is 25 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, light complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, and by occupation when enrolled a farmer

Given at Nashville, Tenn. this seventeenth day of September 1864.

This sentence will be erased should there be anything in the conduct or physical condition of the soldier rendering him unfit for the army.
