Know ye that William H.H. Powell a corporal of Lieut. Isaac W. Warren Company (B) 29 Regiment of Iowa Infantry Vols. Volunteers who was enrolled on the tenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two(62) to serve three (3) years or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this twenty-fourth (24) day of June 1865 at Baton Rouge, Louisiana by order of War Dept. No. 77. Parks A.G.O. current L-- (No objection to his being is re-enlisted is know to exist*).

Said William H.H. Powell was born in Perry Co., Ohio in the state of Ohio, is 22 years of age 5 feet 7 inches high, light complexion, blue eyes, dark hair and by occupation when enrolled a farmer.

Given at Baton Rouge, La. this twenty fourth (24) day of June 1865.

This sentence will be erased should there be anything in the conduct or physical condition of the soldier rendering been unfit for the army.
