Know ye that Timothy B. Otis a private of Captain Samuel Fulton's Company (F) Battln. 77 Regiment of Ohio Infantry Veteran Volunteers who was enrolled on the eighteenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty four to serve three years or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this eighth day of March 1866 at Brownsville, Texas by reason of S. O. 41 Par 3 Co. Ho 2nd Dept Texas Feb 21, 1866.

(No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist*).

Said Timothy B. Otis was born in Washington County in the state of Ohio, is twenty three years of age, five feet eight inches high, light complexion, blue eyes, red hair, and by occupation when enrolled a carpenter.

Given at Brownsville, Texas this eighth day of March 1866 F.H. Finney

This sentence will be erased should there be anything in the conduct or physical condition of the soldier rendering him unfit for the army.
