James Moore


To all Whom it may Concern

Know ye that James Moore a private of Captain Marquis L. Andrews Company (B) 127 Regiment of Iowa Infantry Volunteers who was enrolled on the Fifteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and 62 to serve three years or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this tenth day of August 1865 at New Orleans, Louisiana by reason of service being no longer required. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist*).

Said James Moore was born in Jackson County in the state of Ohio, is 21 years of age, five feet eight inches high, dark complexion, hazel eyes, dark hair and by occupation when enrolled a farmer.

Given at New Orleans, La. this tenth day of August 1866
