Know ye that Frances N. Blackman private of Captain Job Throckmorton's Company (F) fifteenth Regiment of Iowa Infantry
Volunteers who was enrolled on the tenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty one to serve three years
or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this 16th day of December 1864 near
Savannah, Ga. by reason of the expiration of his term of service.
(No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist*).
Said Francis A. Blackman was born in Guernsey Co. in the state of Ohio is nineteen years of age, five feet
ten 1/2 inches high, light complexion, blue eyes, light hair and by occupation, where enrolled a farmer.
Given near Savannah, Ga. this 10th day of December 1861.
