2.  EDWARD SMITH2 (?) ([ -? - ]1 SMITH, SR.) was born  in VA4, and died 1828 in Muskingum County, OH.  He married REBECCA REASONER (MAYBE), daughter of HENRY REASONER and MARY SHEPLER.  She was born 1799 in PA, and died 1828 in Muskingum County, OH.

 Notes for EDWARD SMITH (?):

This generation (Edward and Rebecca Reasoner Smith) is very iffy, based primarily on a query by Lois Jones, who has proved to be unreachable. Others have picked up and used her information without knowing her sources. I can prove that Solomon, George A., Jacob, Effama, and Harriet are siblings (primarily from multiple references in obituaries); I have strong circumstantial evidence that Elisabeth belongs in this family group. I know that John B. is related, but I'm still working on the exact connection. Lois Jones puts him in this group.

Notes for ELISABETH SMITH:

I believe on the basis of a great deal of circumstantial evidence that Elisabeth is the sister of Harriet Smith Hammond, Solomon, George A., Effama Smith Boyle, Jacob R.
