Malvern:
An incorporated city of 1,000 inhabitants, is situated in Mills county, 10 miles distant from the county seat, Glenwood. Located on the C.B. & Q.R. at the crossing of the St. L. & O. line W., St. L. & P. Ry, 261 miles west of Burlington, 30 miles southeast of Council Bluffs, and 171 south of Des Moines.

Large quantities of corn and grain are shipped from this city, which contains 3 churches, 1 bank, 1 opera house and several hotels, and is represented by 1 (Rep.) newspaper. Exp., Am. and Pacific. Tel., W.U. Mail, daily G. F. Donner, postmaster.
