Glenwood:
An incorporated city of 2,000 inhabitants. The county seat of Mills County, is located on the C. B. & Q Railroad at the crossing of the Streets L & P. It is eight miles east of the Missouri river, 20 miles from Council Bluffs, and 10 miles west of Malvern.

Glenwood contains 4 churches; Methodist, Baptist, Congregational and Christian, a graded school, a bank, a daily and weekly newspaper, The Journal, and a State asylum for weak-minded children. Shipments, from this city include corn and stock. Exp., American Tel., Western Union, Mail daily. Thomas L. Stephens, postmaster.
