United Brethen Church
(Deer Creek)

In 1855, this society was organized with eight individuals; Ephraim Cary, Deborah Cary, Shepherd Cary and wife, William Hutchens and wife, and Mary J. Crouch. In 1881, the membership was at twenty-six.

The United Brethen Church was built around 1874. "Constructed of strong and sound timber, the building was able to stand everything except neglect and indifference. There's a rumor that the old church died of a broken heart." In 1949 the church was sold for $380 to Emil Leu of Malvern.
