OBITUARY

Plunkett

Rose Plunkett, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Plunkett, 302 South Center street, died at 12:40 this morning of enlargement of the heart and dropsy, after an illness that has lasted since fall. Miss Rose was born in this city on Oct. 10, 1893, and for the past five years has been a student at St. Mary's institute. She was a bright child, and of a cheerful disposition, and was greatly loved by her teachers and classmates. Her death will create a void in the hearts of her parents and friends. The funeral will take place at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. Dr. J.J. Fitzpatrick officiating.

The City in Brief

Mr. and Mrs. James Farrell and daughter Mary, of Muscatine, formerly of this city, were here Monday to attend the funeral of Rose Plunkett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Plunkett. Mrs. Farrell and Mrs. Plunkett are sisters. Mr. Farrell, who is the son of the late Thomas Farrell, is roadmaster of the Muscatine North and South railway, and was formerly connected with the Iowa Central.
