Hannegan

Mr. W.B. Hannegan was called to Ames Thursday morning by word announcing that his father Mr. W.B. Hannegan was very low. Mr. Hannegan hastened to the bedside of his father who passed away at 6:30 Thursday evening. Mr. Hannegan has been suffering with catarrh of the stomach for the last six months but his condition had only recently become serious. Mr. Hannegan was seventy-one years of age, and he leaves a wife and two sons. The remains will be brought to this city Saturday evening and the funeral will be held from the Hannegan home 707 West Linn street at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Hannegan was one of the old-time residents of the county having come here in 1855. He resided in this city until 1860, when he moved to a farm, south of town, where he remained until the fall of 1877, when he moved to the city again. His first wife, and the mother of his children, died eleven years ago, and about five years ago he was married to Mrs. Cameron, of Ames. Since that time his home has been in Ames. He was born in Columbiana county, O.

Besides he second wife the deceased is survived by two sons, Mr. W.B. Hannegan, of this city, and Mrs. MP. Hannegan, of Chicago. A third son, Frank Hannegan, died last spring in Chicago.
