OBITUARY

Rites Saturday For Bryngelson

Oliver H. Bryngelson, 89, 7 N. 6th St., died Tuesday evening at his home. He had been in failing health for a year.

Born Oct. 4, 1882, near Dunbar, he was the son of Ole H. and Serina (Olson) Bryngelson. He received his education in rural schools in the Dunbar area.

On June 23, 1909, he was married to Ida Christiansen and in 1912 they moved to Saskatchewan, Canada where they farmed until returning to Marshalltown in 1945 upon retirement.

Mr. Bryngelson was a birthrite member of Stavanger Friends Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and a sister.

Surviving is his wife, Ida, and five children, Miss Gladys Bryngelson of Los Angeles, Calif., Ernest and Lloyd Bryngelson of Elrose, Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. Earl Bryngelson of Kenora, Ontario, Canada, and Mrs. Art (Hannah) Knudson, Route 2. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Aubrey Grindstaff, pastor of the Assembly of God Church and Rev. Donald Mays, pastor of LeGrand Friends Church officiating. Burial will be in Stavanger Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Stavanger Cemetery Association.
