LOOKUPS

To request assistance with your Madison County research, please contact the County Coordinator.  If more research/lookup is needed, the Madison County Genealogical Society will assist with answering your questions, visiting archives, copying originals, etc.

To start that process, please contact the County Coordinator with this information:

  • Limit your request to one surname per message.

  • Be specific in the information you are looking for (don't ask for all the Smiths).

  • Provide complete information in an organized fashion since the lookup volunteer will not be familiar with the various generations of this family.

  • Include what you have found during your research within this website.

You can expect:

  • After reviewing your request, they may suggest you first visit pages within this website that have the requested information to save you the required lookup fees.

  • To be contacted by the lookup volunteer who will assist you.

  • The Madison County Genealogical Society charges $10/hour for research, with a two hour minimum. Copying and postage fees are also passed onto you.

  • Your payment will need to be received prior to sending the desired information. The lookup volunteer will be in contact with you to assure you are receiving what you expect.

  • Information will be supplied back to you via e-mail, if possible.
