Tombstone Birthdate Calculator

Birth date calculator: This tool comes in very handy for finding birth dates when you have tombstone data that gives date of death and years/months/days lived.
Bureau of Land Management: Find you relative's land patent application.

Charter Pierce Memorial Internet Genealogical Society: Very useful for finding burials in Polk County.

Genealogy Encyclopedia: The "Encyclopedia of Genealogy" is a collection of user contributed information that includes genealogical tools and definitions. If you are puzzled by an abbreviation, an acronym, or word no longer in use, this resource may provide you with a solution. It also has some good summaries of the nature of collections held by various institutions such as the National archives. Although hosted by a commercial operation, use of this resource is free.
