On
2 June 1871, John WETZEL married Martha R. GARRET and on 21
March 1873, C.H. WETZEL married Nancy M. AVERY in Madison
County, Iowa. Are these two men related to my great-grandmother,
Louisa Ann WETZEL, who was born in Missouri (probably Dade
County) in 1853? Louisa's family disappeared from Dade Co, MO,
after the 1860 census. Louisa herself married Isaac GROVER in
Dallas County, Iowa, in 1868. Louisa's WETZEL family at the 1860
census was: George W. b 1816 in VA; Lucinda (Glass) b 1824 in
KY; Susan A. b 1843 in KY; Sarah E. b 1845 in KY; Mary C. b 1847
in MO; Corydon b 1848 in MO; Margaret M. b 1851 in MO; Louisa
Ann b 1853 in MO; Millard Filmore b 1856 in MO; John C. b 1858
in MO. Can anyone help me with this family? Thanks.

LAIZURE:
two brothers William Hamilton and James T. LAIZURE came to
Madison Co., supposedly in the 1850's. Were they really there
that early??? I tried to read the 1856 Census, and could not
find a Laizure, but some pages were very faint. William H. had
sons Hiram, James T., and William B. Where did James T.( born in
the 1870's) move to? He is not buried in the McDonald-Chase
Cemetery outside of Winterset with the rest of his family. I
have quite a lot of information on the James T. LAIZURE born in
1831 who moved to KS in 1874, and would like to share
information.
