VETERANS OF THE WAR OF 1812 WHO LIVED IN MADISON COUNTY

Shown below are veterans of the War of 1812 known to have resided in Madison County, Iowa. The National Archives has an interesting viewpoint on the War of 1812 as it pertains to genealogy.
County Coordinator's Note:  The War of 1812 concluded about 30 years prior to the first settlement of Madison County.  The people listed below are veterans of that war who served from various eastern states and eventually moved to Iowa. There are no known published lists that correlate service in this war with residence in Madison County.  The County Coordinators are therefore reliant on descendants for obtaining data for this list.  Your inputs are encouraged and welcome.
