4. National Archives: Only Isaiah and John - 39 Iowa

5. There was some dispute about a "Zacahriah Oglesbee" as a third Oglesbee member of the 39th Iowa. The National Archives and Veteran's Administration had no record of Zachariah. They did have records of John and Isaiah but did not know that Zachariah was Isaiah's middle name by which he was sometimes known.
