Notes: Winterset News Nov 3, 1932 "George Gardner died at his home of Pneumonia on Tuesday. Funeral conducted at Tidrick Funeral Home by Dr. Culley of 1st Presbyterian Church. Was reared by an uncle his mother dying at his birth. Came after the war to Madison County, Iowa where he farmed for a time, and afterward clerked in Graybiel Drug Co. for 22 years. Was married April 25, 1888 to Mary Jane Duncan who died Jan 11, 1924. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arnetta Neighbor - a son and daughter having preceded him in death.
