Edna Hansen Moser was born in 1904 and died in 1952. She attended college in the late 1920’s at Cedar Falls, Iowa, which at that time was a reputable teachers’ training school. She taught school in the upper elementary grades in Sioux Center, Iowa, and in her home town of Lester. Here she also taught in the high school. She was an excellent teacher and many who remember her recall with pleasure her excellent tutelage.

Edna and her sister, Louise, the latter worked in the Citizens Savings Bank in Lester, were the daughters of William and Bertha Hansen. They lived in the large residential home where the Leo Carolan family now resides. They were an elegant, quiet family who were often seen on a summer afternoon sitting in the front porch swing of their large home on shady Clinton Street.

Lee Moser whom Edna married was a prominent cattle feeder and land owner in Lyon County. Later in their life they took up residence in the Hansen family home.

Although both parents died at a relatively young age, their children reside in the community or area.
