Lucas County Lookups

Before you ask for a look-up. Read the guidelines, so your request is not ignored.
Failure to follow the guidelines means your REQUEST will be ignored.

USGenWeb Official Lookup Policy

USGenWeb will not tolerate any copyright violations. Lookup requests should be limited to one name, or perhaps two if it is a married couple. Information given will be minimal, for example if it is a cemetery lookup, the information will be the name of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone. Please do not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group, or for hardcopies to be mailed; the volunteers have been asked not to comply with such requests. Our lookups will extend to searching the book to determine if the book would be helpful to you in your research. Should the book prove itself useful, we can provide the authors address and ordering information. The USGenWeb Project will endeavor to get a WRITTEN statement from each copyright holder which stipulates which books may be used for lookups.

Lookup guidelines

• Put LUCAS COUNTY LOOKUP in caps in subject of message. This will ensure that your request is not accidentally overlooked or deleted.
• Put the name of the document you are requesting the lookup from in the first line of the message.
• Limit your request to one or two specific names. Asking for ALL the marriages on a surname will be ignored.
• Limit your request to no more than 3 names per email. Remember YOU are not the only one wanting answers and help.
• Don't forget to thank your volunteer for their time and effort.
• Don't overwhelm the volunteers. Remember they are only volunteers, but this site won't function without them
