Nancy McDOWELL died 28 Jan 1868 and is also bured in the Chariton Cemetery. Hugh LARIMER had a son also named Hugh LARIMER b 29 Nov. 1818 in Penn. Died 27 Feb. 1884 also buried in Chariton Cemetery. Came to Lucas county in 1853. 1st wife Nancy McKLVEEN b 18 May 1819 Penn. m 12 Mar 1840 Lucas, Iowa. Died 3 Sept. 1875 also buried in the Chariton Cemetery. Hugh LARIMER 2nd wife Harriet WEAVER m 12 Oct. 1876 d. 10 Jan 1901 buried in Allen Cemetery Lucas Iowa. Any information on the LARIMER surname would be greatly appreciated.

Holden 26 Feb, 1882 in Clarke Co. Dau. Lidda/Lydia married John W. Mullin 20 1881 Dec. 1881 Clarke Co. Dau. Mary b. 1865. Three other children died without issue.

Almost all counties have an historical book written between 1880 and 1900. I am hoping that my relative is listed in a local Iowa Civil War unit. John died 8/11/1863 Chariton,IA. His parents were Leonard and Sarah ( ) Fisher of Lucas Co.IA previously of W(VA). Elizabeth's parents were Henry and Elizabeth KOONTZ Fisher of W(VA). Elizabeth died 9/6/1906 in Chariton IA. They are buried at Fisher/Webb Cemetery. Children: Elizabeth b-1848, Andrew Jackson 1850 m-Sarah R. WADE 1872 Wayne Co IA, #2 Anna M. W(VA)d-8/11/1863 Chariton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Leonard & Sarah ( ) Fisher. of Lucas Co. Jonathan was a resident of Lucas Co. Iowa when he enlisted in the Civil War 9/28/1861 at Chariton. He died of diarrhoea 5/29/1862 at Keokuk, Iowa. Private Dooley is buried in the Oakland Cemetery there. They had moved into Lucas Co. about 1855. The first three children were born in Jackson Co. WV The last two in Lucas Co. IA Children: Charles Louis 1845-1862 buried Shiloh National Military. Monroe b-1846, William b-4/20/1847 m-Mary A. HOYET 1874 in Lucas Co. Rebecca Mahala b-1848 d-1898 m-Jessie Alvin Sumner. Sally Ann b-1855 and Hester Ellen 1858. Looking for additonial information on this family and their descendants.
