School Sessions Start at Wapello on Sept. 3;
Instructors Will Meet

Wapello – The Wapello consolidated school will open September 3 at 9 a.m. and a half day session will be held the first day. A teachers meeting has been called for Saturday, Sept. 1.

The teachers for 1934 and 1935 will be the same as for last year except as follows: Mrs. Alvia Natvig, New Hampton has been elected to take the place of Miss Lois Ochs, Keota, who resigned to accept a similar position in the Keosauqua schools. Miss Marion Bates, Wapello will teach in the position left vacant by Mrs. Helen Heins Eversmeyer who resigned. Miss Florence Henry, Iowa City has been elected to have charge of the music department during the first semester’s leave of absence granted to Miss Winona Durst, because of illness.

Kindergarten Schedule

In the kindergarten, the beginners who lie outside the city limit will attend the first and third 12 week period and those within the city limits will attend the second and third periods.

Registration of high school pupils will be held Friday previous to the opening day.

Ed Kallenberger, who has been janitor of the schools for many years, has resigned and his pace has been filed by Rex. McChesney and Earl Pogemiller who have been getting the buildings ready for school.

15 Bus Routes

There are 15 bus routes and drivers have been named as follows: Route 1, Lawrence Kerr; 2, to be filled; 3, William McDowell; 4 Earnest Reipe; 5, Raymond Stewart; 6, Louis Gerth; 7, Elmer Lance; 8, James Paris; 9, Marion Schafer; 10, Ralph Mathews; 11, Kathryn Hiller; 12, John Brooks; 13, to be filled; Earl Meyerholz; 14 to be filled; 15 Scott Pullin.
