Letts Arranges for Fall Work
First Day of School Monday to be Devoted to Registration, Assignments.

Letts - The fall school term of the Letts consolidated school is scheduled to open on next Monday.

Following the usual practice, students will remain during only the morning session when registration, classification, purchase of books and class assignments will be made. A meeting of teachers will be held in the superintendent’s office at 1:30 p.m.

One new teacher has been added to the faculty. She is Miss Hallie Lee who will be in charge of the fourth grade. Mrs. Floyd Smith, who formerly taught the fourth grade, has been assigned to the first grade.

The remainder of the teaching staff includes Miss Mary Willits, second; Miss Ann Lillard, third; Miss Hallie Lee, fourth; Miss Winifred Henry, fifth; Miss Floy Eliason, sixth; Mrs. Oscar Ross, seventh and eighth grades. High school instructors are Miss Molly O’Toole, principal; Miss Jane Mahin, English; Miss Lela Lintner, home economics; Paul Beckman, coach; H. Dale Frame is superintendent of schools.

Hack routes have been readjusted for the coming year, increasing the number from eight to nine. Most of the busses will be carrying a capacity load but will have a shorter route under the present plan. This arrangement will permit drivers to pickup pupils later in the morning than had been the practice, previously.

Only three of the nine routes are slated to pick up students before 7:30 a.m. in order to reach the school before starting time.
