     There are 3,641 children of school age in Louisa county according to a census compiled by Ada Smith, county superintendent of schools. Of this number, 1,20 are boys and 1, 721 are girls. A total of 3,008 are attending school. 1,540 being boys and 1,468 girls. A total of 142 graduated from the county high schools this year, 67 being boys and 75 girls; 198 finished the eight grade in town and rural schools. Of this number, 98 were boys and 100 were girls.
