All the buildings on the west side of the main street, from Eisenhardt's harness shop to the old co-operative store building, were burned to the ground. Small, Two; Snyder bros, and Dr. Thompson, two buildings and a stable, Masonic lodge, one; nine buildings in all. The total loss on buildings about $10,000. Total insurance, nearly $5,500. The stocks burned included those belonging to Miss Crane, about $500; H. G. Hartman, $500; Cochran's restaurant, $200. Miss Crane had no insurance, the others were fully insured.
