The Taverns of Wapello

The oasis of Wapello is at Phil Nauman’s place located at 133 Second street. Phil is much better known as “Doc” to his many friends and his tavern is “Doc’s 133 Tavern.” If you are looking for any old pals and don’t seem to be able to locate them, just stop in at “Doc’s” and chances are that they will come in sooner or later.

The friendly personal greeting which awaits everyone upon entering is so much appreciated and if Doc is too busy, he is ably assisted by “Jiggs” Harris and Ray Holmquist, who help out during the busy days.

Wapello has several other taverns, The Farmers’ Tavern, The Capitol and Archibald’s Tavern, and if you are looking for some cold refreshments on a hot summer day, anyone of them is a nice place to relax in.
