Wapello Café Is Operated by Harrisons

    The Wapello café is operated by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harrison. For many years it was known as Herm and Lu’s (Hartsock) café. Then Lois Maddux took it over, with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stineman taking over managership until Oct. 1955, when the Harrison assumed management.

    Mrs. Harrison is the former Janice Houtz. The Harrisons have one son, Danny.

    The café has a private dining room and caters to parties, in addition to offering meals and short orders.
