D. AND L. CAFÉ KNOWN FOR HOME-MADE DONUTS

The D and L café is operated by Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Jake) Jacobsen. They purchased the business from Mr. and Mrs. “Pinky” Lamb in June, 1952. Jake has had café experience for many years, including Burlington and Colorado.

They have recently completed a private dining room, and redecorated the interior. The D and L is known for its outstanding “home-made” donuts.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobsen have two children: Sandy, 10; and Gary, 11. Employees are Justin Healy, Edna Belzer and Thelma Jean Humiston.

Jake also operates Jake’s Place on the shores of Lake Odessa.
