Types of materials we are looking
for include family histories, biographies, photos, obituaries, tombstone photos
& inscriptions, cemetery lists, etc. Because of copyright laws, only
materials dated before 1923 or written by the submitter will be accepted.
Could your
contribution be missing because of blocked E-mail?
We try to reply to each
contributor promptly in order to verify information ... so if you haven't heard
from us within a few days, it may be because your e-mail or spam-blocking
program is not allowing our mail to be delivered...
Make sure you
change your e-mail settings to accept our replies or your contributions may not

Query Boards ...
If this is your first visit to the boards, please follow the
basic instructions listed below:
All queries and surnames must have a Linn County, Iowa connection.
Queries should contain only one surname [or two when including a spouse]. Your first line will encourage or discourage a response. Try to say something about your search. Common surnames without detail draw NO responses. However, if you were asking about an Emma Jane Osborne, you might gain some real attention.
A formula for a good query to stand up and be noticed: 1. Full name with surname in
CAPITAL Letters 2. Time frame or dates of specific events 3. Location family was in or resided in the county.
Because of privacy issues, queries which involve people who may still be
alive CAN NOT be posted on IAGenWeb Project pages and will b e removed.
