BREWSTER—James Campbell passed away at his residence in Ft. Madison on Aug. 10, 1932. He was born in Ft. Madison, Lee co., Nov 19, 1860, his parents being Charles & Eliza Jane Brewster. His parents came to Lee co. in 1844. James C. Brewster first married Eliza J. Marrill of Burlington, Ia., in 1887.

EOFF – William Sample Eoff who resided at Denmark, Ia., with his daughter, Mrs. Irven William, passed away Oct 12, 1931. He was a farmer by trade; His parents were Leonard & Hannah Eoff. On Sept 23, 1874 William S. Eoff married Rebecca Lauther, who preceeded him Jan 5, 1929. Mr. Eoff has one sister, Mrs. Mary C. Gamage of Kansas City, Mo. and children Mrs. Irven Williams, Alice Eoff, Grace Eoff all of Denmark, Ia., Mrs. John H. Yaley and George L. of near Ft. Madison, Mrs. Arch L. Corwner of Rock Island, Ia., There are eighteen grandchildren.

FARRELL –Mrs. Margaret Farrell who resided at High St. between 10th and 11th, died Mar. 2, 1873 in Keokuk, Ia. She was born May 15, 1800, was a member of the St. Francis DeSalles Catholic Church. She has one son, John W. Farrell. Mrs. Farrell was an early pioneer of Lee County coming here in 1843.

FORD—Mrs. Eunice Ford passed away at the age of 72 on Sep. 13, 1872, at her residence on the Corner of First and High. She has a son, Dr. E.R. Ford

DOHMANN—Hubert Dohmann was a resident of the West Point, area and passed away at the age of 74, Mar. 16, 1832(sic). He was born Jul 25,1857 , in Westphalen, Germany and was married to Anna Schroeder Feb. 7, 1882. Mr. Dohmann was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Ft. Madison, Ia. There were six children to this union: Mrs. Geo. Luegering and Mrs. Stephen Hesse of Ft. Madison, Miss Elizabeth Dohmann of New York, Miss Rose Dohmann of Bloomington, Ill., Al Dohman of Ft. Madison and Vincent Dohman of West Point. There are thirteen grandchildren.

FLOHRER—William Flohrer who resided in Denmark, Ia., passed away May 12, 1932. He was born in Des Moines County, Ia. Aug 20, 1860. His parents were Charles Augustus Flohrer and Hester Ness Flohrer. Mr. Flohrer has the following brothers and sisters: Miss Lillian Mae Flohrer, Robert Flohrer of Denmark, Joseph Flohrer of Pleasant Ridge Twp. and three nieces. Mr. Flohrer has been a resident of Lee co. since 1891 and a member of Denmark Congregational Church. He was buried in Long Creek Cem.

DANIEL—Aaron Daniel passed away in Des Mooines, Ia., Dec 23, 1876, at the age of 53. He was a member of Chatham Square Methodist Church of Keokuk, Ia. His wife survived and has one son, Will.

DIAMOND – Mrs. Elizabeth Diamond (Ruby) died Sun. 13, May 1897, at her residence. 621 South 9th, Keokuk, Ia. She was born Mar 6, 1806, in Philadelphia, Pa. and in Jul 1833 in New Albany, Ind. married to John Diamond, now deceased. Her father was John Ruby. Mrs. Diamond has a half-sister, Miss Oletha Ruby of Covington, Ky. She has three daughters, Mrs. Oletha R. Gillispie, Mrs. Anna W. Efner, Mrs. Kate Slobbart, 2 sons, John R. & Andrew J. Diamond all of Keokuk, Ia. There are 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

HAMILTON – Mrs. Anna L. Hamilton passed away, Thurs. Feb 15, 1917. Anna L. ERWING was born in Pa. May 30, 1830. She moved to Iowa when about 9 years old and united in marriage to Robert Hamilton in 1853. She is survived by 2 sons, William J. and Robert L. of New Boston, Ia., and one daughter Mrs. John Folkland of Welsh, Louisiana. Her husband departed this life about 24 years ago. Burial was at Hickory Grove Cem., Jackson Twp.

MOHR—Mrs. Henriette Buckler Mohr passed away at her home on River Road, Bettendorf, Ia. on July 17, 1932. Mrs. Mohr was born Apr. 1, 1875 in St. Louis, Mo. and on Apr. 26, 1893 was united in marriage to Pius Mohr at St. Paul, Ia. in St. James Church. Mrs. Mohr had 12 children: Eugene B. of Lubock, Tex.; Edwin of Bettendorf, Ia.; Sylvester of Davenport, Ia.; Anthony, Herbert, and Clarence at home. Daughters: Misses Olive, Florentine, Marie, Lucille, Margaret and Geraldine Mohr all at home.

HERSTEIN—David F. Herstein a resident of Pleasant Ridge Twp. passed away July 22, 1932 in Regent N.D. Mr. Herstein was born Sep 24, 1855 near West Point, Ia. on Apr 19, 1883, he was united in marriage to Caroline Quiesner at Wever, Ia. He was a farmer, a member of the Monnonite then later Congregation Church. Four brothers & 1 sister preceded him in death. There are 9 children: Mrs. Walter Heberer, Denmark, Ia., Mrs. Elvin Lovitt, New England, N.D., & Alma at home; Arthur J., Irvin C., Wilbur A., & Oliver D, of Regent, N.D. Six grandchildren survive.

WEISS—Mrs. John Weiss (nee Kroll) passed away at her home in West Point Twp., July 1, 1932. She was born Dec 15, 1887, West Point Twp.,Ia. and married Feb 5, 1913 to John Weiss. Mrs. Weiss has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Sam, John Kroll of Ft. Madison, Mrs. Ben Wilson & Mrs. Ernest Koeller of Donnellson. There are 5 daughters; Ines, Mary, Suzanne, Arva, Eileen; Gladys prededed her in death in 1914. one son, John.

HONADEL – Mrs. Bernadine Engeman Roth Honadel passed away Aug 2, 1933 at her residence in Ft. Madison, Ia. She was born in Primrose June 18, 1858 and married first George W. ROTH May 29, 1884. He preceded her in death in 1893. She then married Jacob HONADEL, he died Mar 6, 1921. She was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical of Franklin then transferred her membership to St. Pauls at Donnellson, Ia. Mrs. Honadel has one brother, Ernest ENGEMAN of Viele, 3 children: Fred Roth at Franklin, Ia., John Honadel at Ft. Madison,Ia. & Mrs. J.M. Ott who preceded her in death in 1928. There are 6 step-children: Mrs. J.P. Graeber of Laurier, Henry Honadel of Waswatsoa, Wis., George, Theodore and Arthur of Edgemont, S.D., Mrs. John Ott of Donnellson, Ia.
