I 'm searching for any available information on William WATSON who died 1881 in Lee County Iowa. My guess is he is buried around West Point. The following is a brief on what I do know:
William WATSON married Honor (Lowe) Watson May 1840 in Ripley County, Indiana and moved in 1845 to Lee County,Iowa where he bought and improved a farm. He died there in 1881. His son William L. Watson, who was my greatgrandfather, grew up there and was in the Fifteenth Iowa Infantry during the Civil War. From William L. on I have pretty good records.
I would like to know if William L. Watson had any brothers/sisters and their decendents and if his father had any borthers/sisters. I assume that the family farm was around West Point, Iowa for William L. Watson returning home from the Civll War in 1865 attended the West Point, Iowa school, then Keokuk Commercial College. - Jackie - 12858 W. 54th PL. - Arvada,Co 80002
