These are obituaries from early newspapers,
1850's, 60's & 70's. Note from John Johnson: "Some are good
obits, but some are just names/dates mentioned in a related person's obit".
This could still be good information.
Don't be too hopeful to find
the parents of the deceased. often the survivors didn't know.. There may be stories of accidental deaths,
etc.
This is a list of the papers over the
years, some are weekly.
Check the Keokuk Daily Gate City
first. Then the Keokuk Constitution, if available. And if
an obit is still not found check any of the other newspapers
for that time.
