Vitals, Widigen

New Information found by John Rabe

[I would like to pass along to you some information that we have come across.  A relative has two old newspaper clipping concerning Florence's father.  We had always thought the last name was Widigan, that is what is on my father's birth certificate.  Mrs. Julius Rabe is Florence.  And this is the first that we have heard that she had more that the one brother; two sisters and two brothers.  My initial research is that our Fred Widigen may be connected to a Widigen family in Davenport and that Florence's other sisters and brother may be from an earlier marriage.  Florence's mother, Louisa, was 17 years the junior to Fred.]
